ToolsinAction Names Senco® F-15 Cordless Pneumatic Nailer Most Innovative Tool of 2011

CINCINNATI (December 20, 2011) — Senco’s F-15 cordless pneumatic finish nailer
featuring Fusion® technology has been named “Most Innovative Tool of the Year” by
the editors of ToolsinAction.com, an online tool news and review website.

Senco Fusion nailers combine the best of air and cordless technologies to maximize
job site performance and portability. At the same time, they eliminate the
drawbacks associated with traditional gas and battery-powered nailers, including
fuel cell replacement costs, tool weight and “ramp-up” times.

The list of benefits impressed reviewers at ToolsinAction.com, who commented,
“The overall concept of the tool is great. No more hooking up to any type of air
from a compressor or cartridge. This is just powered by a battery and reusable
cylinder. This is a huge saver of money, time and safety and that’s why we went
with the Senco.”

Senco’s Fusion line includes four tool models to date: the F-15, the F-18 brad
nailer, and two new 16 gauge nailers — the F-16S and the F-16A, a 20 degree
angled version.

Understanding Fusion Technology

Fusion technology incorporates an 18V Lithium-ion battery, but it is a
misconception that the battery actually produces the drive power. Instead, Fusion
uses 130psi of self-contained compressed air as its driving method.

Housed within the air cylinder are traditional pneumatic tool components – a piston,
driver blade and bumper. When the trigger is pulled, the user experiences the
power and feel of a pneumatic nailer as stored energy is released, forcing the piston
down into the nail to drive it powerfully and consistently, even into hardwoods.

The Li-ion battery’s only function is to power the small motor that returns the
piston to the ready position to drive the next fastener. The air pressure is pre-set at
the factory, permanently sealed and never needs recharging.

The battery can reach an 80% charge in just 15 minutes and a full charge in under
an hour.

At 6 pounds, the ergonomically balanced Fusion nailers are nearly 2.5 pounds
lighter than competitive battery powered models, and can be comfortably operated
with one hand.

Users can choose either sequential firing or contact actuation depending on the job.
The tool-free adjustable depth-of-drive feature combined with the nose mounted
LED work surface light ensures accurate fastener placement and counter sinks.

Fusion cordless pneumatic nailers are available from SENCO dealers nationwide. For
