SENCO New SN60MC Fastens Metal Connectors Efficiently, Safely, and Accurately
CINCINNATI July 20, 1998 SENCO Products, Inc. powerful new SN60MC Metal Connector Nailer is designed to help operators efficiently meet high-wind and earthquake building codes by safely and accurately fastening a wide variety of joist hangers, connector plates/straps, knee braces and tie-downs.
The SN60MC is built with a unique hole-locating safety system designed to increase accuracy and productivity while preventing damage to framing and decking connectors. Nails extend 1/2" from the nose of the guidebody to ensure proper, consistent fastener alignment within plate holes. The tool drives 1-1/2" and 2-1/2" moisture-resistant, tape-collated nails with shank diameters of .131, .148, and .162.
The SN60MC is only available with a restrictive firing mechanism for additional safety. Other features include an easy two-step loading process, a six-nail lockout function, and an EZ-Clear function to remove infrequent jams.
The compact nailer has a comfort-grip handle to reduce vibration, weighs 7.7 lbs., stands 12.8" high, is 5" wide, and comes equipped with a 30-fastener capacity, 20° straight-line magazine. A lightweight, durable aluminum magazine makes one-handed operation easy in tight spots.
The SN60MC brings pneumatic technology, efficiency, and safety to the metal connecting process. Operators simply position the nail in the connector hole, press straight down on the top of the tool to release the individual fastener safety, and activate the trigger to drive nails, SENCO Product Manager Charlie Lytle said.
