SENCO Builds on Success of Popular Screw System, Announces Plans for Additions to DuraSpin Family

Barely two years after SENCO unveiled its first collated-feed screwgun, the company's DuraSpin tools have set the standard against which all other screwguns are measured. Across the nation, users and critics alike have grown to appreciate the outstanding durability, efficiency and performance offered by SENCO's high-quality DuraSpin tools. Through the end of 2002 and into early-2003, SENCO is building on that success by offering five new tools which are poised to keep the DuraSpin line far ahead of the game. (Find out more about SENCO's new DuraSpin tools in Booth #356.)

  • The SENCO DuraSpin DS200-AC, introduced this fall, is the first corded, integrated, hand-held model in the DuraSpin family. The DS200-AC includes all the great features users have appreciated in the DS200-14V, with the addition of higher speed and torque, and a trigger lock to enable continuous operation in high-speed applications. Plus, all of these features are available at a GREAT low price.

  • The new DuraSpin DS205-14V will take the best of what SENCO's popular DS200-14V and DS162-14V screwguns have to offer and present them in a single, convenient package with a few upgrades. Featuring a powerful new 4,000-RPM motor, the tool's specialty will be drywall (to wood or steel) installation applications. The DS205-14V retains the line's popular cordless, collated-feed design, but it will include an eagerly anticipated reverse feature to back out driven screws.

  • The DuraSpin DS275-18V will be SENCO's first high-powered, handheld cordless screwgun specifically designed for wood-to-wood applications, including screw lengths up to 3". Ideal for floor sheathing, underlayment, cement board, fencing, decking, dock building, general wood assembly and heavy drywall installation, the DS275-18V will feature 18-volt battery power, a 3,100-RPM motor and DuraSpin's proven collated-screw feed system. This tool will also include the new reversing screw back-out feature.

  • For 2003, SENCO hopes to take its DS300 line of decking and flooring tools to the next level with a pair of impressive new offerings. With built-in, adjustable height extensions and exciting new ergonomic designs, the new DS300 tools have the potential to quickly become the floor sheathing and decking tools of choice for pros and high-end DIYers alike. Both the cordless DS300-18V and the corded DS300-AC will feature 3,000 RPMs of power, a trigger lock to enable continuous operation and the new DuraSpin reverse feature to back out driven screws.

  • Through the introductions of the new DuraSpin tools in 2003, SENCO will also debut a new standardized slide-battery and charger platform that will enable greater interchangeability within the DuraSpin line and between the DuraSpin tools and SENCO's cordless AirFree nailers.
