SENCO CELEBRATES SUCCESS OF DURASPIN BY ADDING NEW TOOL TO ITS COLLATED SCREW-DRIVING FAMILY

(CINCINNATI) – Barely two years after SENCO unveiled its first collated-feed screwgun, the company’s DuraSpin tools have set the standard against which other screwguns are measured. Across the nation, end-users and critics alike have grown to appreciate the outstanding durability, efficiency and performance of SENCO's high-quality DuraSpin tools.

The flagship DuraSpin product, the cordless DS200-14V has quickly become a favorite among remodelers, handymen, drywallers, carpenters and anyone else who needs a fast, powerful screw-driving tool. In a time and motion study conducted by R. S. Means, the DS200-14V was shown to increase the productivity of drywallers by up to 30 percent, versus crews using traditional corded, hand-fed screwgun systems.

“The speed and productivity-enhancing design of the DuraSpin tools speak for themselves,” says Bill Womacks, product category manager for the DuraSpin line. “Virtually every week, we hear from another user who has converted from hand-feed screwguns or another type of collated-feed tool and never looked back.”

Perhaps that’s why the latest addition to the DuraSpin family, the DS200-AC has been so eagerly anticipated. The DS200-AC builds on the proven DuraSpin collated-feed chassis, but adds corded power to make easy work of tough jobs, quickly and reliably driving screws into the even toughest work surfaces.

Featuring a tough 3300-rpm motor and a trigger lock for continuous operation, the DS200-AC is ideal for drywall (to both wood and steel studs), floor sheathing, underlayment, cement board and fencing. Using 2” SENCO Weatherex screws, the DS200-AC even makes quick work of grueling decking jobs.

Capable of driving 50 collated screws before reloading, the DS200-AC quickly drives screws from 1” – 2” in length and in diameters from #6 – #8. Other key features include super-tough DuraSpin drive bits, adjustable depth-of-drive for flush drive or countersink, an ergonomically designed comfort grip, adjustable nosepiece and a built-in belt hook for added convenience.

The DS200-AC kit comes with two spare drive bits, drywall and wood nose pieces and a rugged carrying case. Each tool is covered by a one-year warranty.

Other tools currently available in the DuraSpin line include the DS162-14V cordless drywalling tool, the SS-14V cordless cut-out saw, the DS200-S2 and DS200-S4 corded drywalling tools with collated-feed extension kits and the DS300-S2 and DS300-S4 corded decking tools with collated-feed extension kits. SENCO also offers the DuraSpin DS200 and DS300 kits, for turning corded screwguns into collated-feed systems, and the SG2000 and SG4000 high-power corded screwguns for stand- alone use or with DuraSpin extension kits. Additional DuraSpin tools will be unveiled later this year.

In the meantime, DuraSpin screw-driving tools continue to prove their remarkable versatility. To prove the point, SENCO has published a series of stories from real end-users on the World Wide Web at www.duraspin.com. From drywalling to manufactured housing, the stories illustrate how everyday users have dramatically increased worksite value through an ever-growing list of DuraSpin uses.
