SENCO's New ProSeries and XtremePro Tools Fit the Bill for Building & Remodeling Pros
New Tool Lines Offer Right Tool for Right User
CINCINNATI, OH Using 50 years of professional tool innovation as its benchmark, pneumatic tool pioneer SENCO is embarking upon a bold initiative to offer tool users - at all levels - access to SENCO quality in a broadening variety of performance- and value-based packages. SENCO unveiled the new lines during the International Builders Show this February in Atlanta.
Several new or enhanced pneumatic tools are being introduced in 2002 as part of a comprehensive overhaul of SENCO's pneumatic product family. The introduction of SENCO's new ProSeries and XtremePro (XP) framing and finishing tools is a unique effort to give each customer exactly what he or she needs. SENCO has simply taken stock of the changing needs of pneumatic tool users to offer them proven SENCO quality in the package and price-point they want.
The new SENCO family offers users access to an increased variety of framing and finish nailers, brad nailers, sheathing and finish staplers, and pinners designed to match a range of user requirements; from the heaviest professional user to the light-duty contractor or do-it-yourselfer.
SENCO's XP line represents the new gold standard in pneumatic tools. All XP tools are designed to offer maximum durability and performance in virtually any situation, and are covered by full two-year warranties.
"These are the tools for professional builders, remodelers and contractors who use their tools all day every day and who expect their tools to drive reliably, whether it's the first nail or the millionth," says SENCO marketing manager Charlie Lytle.
The new XP tools feature upgraded internal drive components for maximum durability, long-term performance and higher drive power ratings than the previous models. Additionally, the new tools feature a host of performance-enhancing extras, such as a premium comfort grip and trigger, a rafter or belt hook built in to keep the tool convenient and even a measuring scale along the magazine of selected tools.
The ProSeries line is designed to offer proven SENCO quality to lighter-duty users with zero compromises in terms of quality, versatility and value. Building on SENCO's successful 50-year professional tool architecture, ProSeries tools still include many of the latest advances in pneumatic tool design and are covered by one-year warranties.
The new ProSeries and XP tools are being introduced this year as a unique effort on SENCO's part to give each customer exactly what he or she needs.
"We know the market for pneumatics is growing significantly and that there are potential customers who don't use the tool eight hours a day, 40 hours a week," says Lytle. "Targeted price points will allow these more casual users to step up to the SENCO Experience while still raising the bar among professional users."
The new tools will bear the familiar red metallic SENCO "badge" and a new, distinctive, deep silver paint job. According to Lytle, it was important to let customers know they were getting a great looking tool with great features, regardless of price.
There are a number of features that set the tools apart, both from their SENCO predecessors and from the other members within the new lines. While tools will be immediately differentiated by price, warranty and some internal componentry, there are more visible differences. The depth-of-drive mechanism, air exhaust portal and handle grips vary depending on how rigorously the tool will be used.
"A contractor driving thousands of nails a week has different performance and durability requirements than a light-duty user. Dividing our tool line into the XtremePro and ProSeries lines enables us to offer all of these customers what they need at the price they expect, all built to SENCO standards."
SENCO Products Inc. celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. Based in Cincinnati, SENCO is one of the world's leading manufacturers of air-powered nailers, staplers and the fasteners they drive. SENCO tools are used in a variety of industries, including home construction and remodeling, cabinet and furniture assembly, manufactured housing and industrial packaging.
