Senco Products New SQS55 Rugged-Duty Stapler
Brings Consistency to Hardwood Framing and Sheathing Applications
CINCINNATI – SENCO Products, Inc. powerful new SQS55 Rugged-Duty 15-gauge Stapler is strong enough for the toughest framing and sheathing jobs.
“With today’s harder woods and laminates, many pneumatic tools struggle to drive fasteners consistently,” SENCO Product Manager Bill Womacks said. “The SQS55 was specifically developed for tough applications like fastening NovaDeck to Southern Yellow Pine floor joists.”
The stapler's power comes in a 5.9 lb. package capable of driving fasteners at a rate of 15 staples-per second. The SQS55 drives 15-gauge, 7/16" crown staples in lenghts ranging from 1-1/4" to 2-1/2". For softer drive applications, an adjustable power kit is included with the tool to allow users to reduce drive energy up to 20 percent for use with soft woods.
An adjustable depth-of-drive feature combines with a replaceable guidebody insert to improve quality of fastener drives. The insert and T-shaped cross section driver combine to further increase the stapler’s durability and reduce maintenance costs. The SQS55 is available with either a dual action or restrictive trigger activating mechanism and requires minimal maintenance because it contains 25 percent fewer parts than many competing models.
Other productivity-enhancing features include a top-loading, easy-release feed system for faster loading, a narrow nose width for accurate fastener placement, an EZ-Clear guidebody for quick removal of infrequent jams, and an adjustable exhaust for quiet operation and increased operator comfort. Additional features include an ergonomic handle with comfort grip, an optional one- or two-finger width trigger, and a reload indicator that signals the operator to insert one or two fastener strips into the 130-staple capacity magazine.
